Given the serious menace
that the new radioactive wars against Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Iraq
constitute against all the inhabitants of the planet and the future generations,
the AMC has decided to make the effort of publishing regularly, approximately
once a week, the counter-informative bulletin called "Weapons against
wars".
Longer articles can be found in the CIAR section of our webpage. These
are some of the articles published in the Environmental Medicine section
of the "Medicina Holística" magazine since 1990. All
are free to access and download.

Bulletin1:
What the Media are hiding about the increasing international dissidence
against war (Demonstrations in January 2003). |
|
Bulletin2:
Pentagon, NATO and governments are lying. Presentation of the "Colectivo
de Investigación sobre las Armas Radiactivas" and the
projects that are in process. Of course, the Coalition is open to
external collaborations. We inform that ammunition is not only made
of DU (Depleted Uranium), but also of some of the most toxic elements
that exist. |
|
Bulletin3:
We inform that this kind of weapons have been used in Afghanistan,
despite the Pentagon and the British Ministry of Defence deny it. |
|
Bulletin4:
US and Great Britain can and must be denounced for Crimes against
the genetic heritage of the mankind. |
|
Bulletin5:
Do you want to have a son or grandson as monstrous as this?.(Available
pictures´ gallery). The use of radioactive weapons in the Gulf
War has increased the rate of cancer, leukaemia, chromosome aberrations
and genetic malformations, not only in the Iraqi population but also
among the veterans ( 14 times more cases of chromosome anomalies and
between 2 and 3 times more cases of monstrous children). |
|
Bulletin6:
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) lies when affirms that
the low level radiations are harmless, as it's demonstrated in a recent
research by more than 30 scientists from the European Commission of
Radiological Risks, ECRR (published in march 2003). |
|
Bulletin7:
The Army has hidden the risks to its own troops, including the commands.
Testimonies of the commandant pathologist Dr. Doug Rokke (Specialist
in nuclear war, professor of the State University in Jacksonville,
veteran of Vietnam and the Gulf of Persia. During the Gulf War he
was the coordinator of the preventive medicine and decontamination
of the U.S. Army) and some other militaries. |
|
Bulletin8:
Some lies about the radioactive weapons: low doses of radioactivity
are innocuous; depleted uranium is not dangerous; the penetrating
ammunition is only made of DU; the contamination doesn't affect us
because it's in localized zones. |
|
Bulletin9:
URGENT. The soldiers who are going to the Persian Gulf ought to know
that they'll be cheated and treated like a percentage that can be
sacrificed. |
|
Bulletin10:
More lies and omissions from the media. The "depleted" uranium
weapons are the chosen weaponry by the American Army for the war against
Iraq. Medical reports of the Belgian association Medicine for the
Third World. |
|
Bulletin11:
Testimony of the former Attorney General of the United States, Ramsey
Clark. Radioactive weapons are forbidden by the International Law
on warfare. Denunciations increasing in the Army. |
|
Bulletin12:
One consequence of the recent wars will be the radioactive contamination
for military and civilians. Numerous analogies with the first Gulf
war can be found these days (300.000 affects), and also with the Vietnam
war (600.000 affects). But this time the contamination is radioactive
and will persist forever. |
|
Bulletin13:
The Campaign Against Depleted Uranium (CADU) reported that the British
Royal Society states that DU supposes a risk in short and long-term
for soldiers and civilians, and that Iraq must be cleaned. This is
a matter of enormous importance since the Royal Society is the most
prestigious scientific institution in Great Britain, whose reports
use to be the base of the governmental policy. |
|
Bulletin14:
Is the destruction of hospitals and public health registers an
attempt to hide the radioactive weapons´ consequences in Iraq?.
Humanitarian Lawyers´ Association, S.A. |
|
Bulletin15:
The Radioactivity is between 1000 and 2000 times higher than the doses
considered 'normal' in Baghdad, where the north American troops used
DU ammunition. |
